We had the pleasure of designing a new dwelling for a couple in Darley Dale last year. The site already had planning permission for a generic stone dwelling when the clients bought the site early last year, however they wished to build a more contemporary dwelling.
The project is now half way through the construction phase and we have been on site to review progress every month. The Contractors, JPD properties, have worked well in the extreme variations of weather conditions, from our first four site visits being in the snow and more recently the very hot weather.
Here are some photographs of the steel frame going up, the projecting balcony to the rear elevation and the view from the first floor sitting room overlooking the Derbyshire countryside.
