With the ongoing uncertainty caused by the coronavirus we are committed to keeping our clients up to date on everything related to planning & development. The planning service across the UK is still operating and we remain open or business.
We also remain committed to keeping both our clients, and our staff safe.
We have been working within the parameters of the lockdown to ensure that existing deadlines and commitments to our clients are met, but looking forward it is clear that an agreed set of safety measures are needed for when our colleagues are required to attend a site visit.
All members of Planning Design staff will now be practicing the following measures when attending a site visit:
- Hand Washing: Our staff will sanitise their hands before they leave their car on arrival, and will do so as they leave the site visit. Please note we will not be shaking hands during the pandemic.
- Two Metres Distance: We will be maintaining at least a 2-metre buffer between ourselves (including between colleagues), the Landowner/Applicant/Client, and any other 3rd parties that may be present. This buffer zone will be actively maintained, which may mean that we have to step away if that distance is not observed.
- Outdoor Site Visit: Until the government guidance changes, we will only be able to conduct site visits that take place outside. We will not be able to enter a building, home, or vehicle and any onsite discussion will have to take place in the open air.
- Right to Terminate the Meeting: Our colleagues have the right to politely terminate the meeting if they feel that the reasonable safety measures set out above are not being observed.
The measures set out here have been drawn up in accordance with the government’s Covid Act 2020, and supplementary guidance that is currently available. We understand that the situation is constantly evolving and we will be reviewing of working practice regularly to ensure we are following the most up-to-date advice for the safety of our staff, clients and members of the public.
By observing these measures we hope to be able to continue to provide our expertise to your land-use and architectural requirements in a safe and effective manner.
