This project involved a revised application based on an extant permission for an agricultural workers dwelling. The brief was to create a contemporary dwelling for a young couple in a style that references the site’s agricultural setting with the use of standing seam metal and a barn-like form.

The layout includes a large open plan kitchen diner to one wing with a formal lounge to the either. The stepped two storey and single storey massing in a U-shaped arrangement creates a sheltered courtyard garden with far reaching views to the land to the south.
