Senior Planner - Chartered Town Planner

Mollie joined the team in May 2024 as a Planner and works closely with the Heritage team.

 

Mollie Arif is a Chartered Town Planner based in Sheffield, with extensive experience in heritage planning and planning-led development projects across Yorkshire, the Peak District and surrounding regions. She works closely with clients, local authorities and project teams to deliver successful planning outcomes, particularly for schemes involving heritage assets and sensitive sites.

Mollie graduated from the University of Birmingham with a BA in Geography in 2020, before completing an MA in Urban Design and Planning at the University of Sheffield in 2021. She further strengthened her professional expertise by completing an MSc in Urban Planning at Sheffield Hallam University in 2024 as part of the Degree Apprenticeship APC pathway. Mollie became a Chartered Member of the Royal Town Planning Institute (RTPI) in June 2025, reflecting her professional capability in UK planning policy, heritage and development.

Mollie has developed strong expertise in heritage planning, planning applications, and development in sensitive environments, including work within the Peak District National Park. She is experienced in supporting a wide range of projects, preparing planning submissions, heritage statements and supporting documentation, and advising on policy-led design solutions that respond to local character and planning constraints.

Working from the Sheffield office, Mollie contributes to projects across Yorkshire and the Peak District, bringing a detailed understanding of local planning policy, conservation requirements and development strategy.

Outside of work, Mollie enjoys running and regularly participates in Parkrun events. She is also a keen reader, enjoys live music, and is currently undertaking home renovation projects alongside being a pet owner to her cat, Frank.
