The site already had outline permission for two dwellings when we were approached to complete a detailed design proposal for one of the dwellings and see the project through to Stage 4 - Building Regulations.
Planning Design won approval in October 2014 for the largest single development ever approved in Derbyshire Dales.
The scheme, covering 40 hectares of land, will provide 367 homes; 8 ha of industrial and commercial land; a vocational training centre and enterprise hub; a convenience food store, shops and a pub. A new link road will open up the existing adjacent industrial estate which is fully occupied and a new bus route will be created.
The proposals include areas for wildlife conservation, public open space and new landscape features incorporating over 1 hectare of new woodland. The scheme will deliver over £3m in public subsidy for school and college places and highway improvements as well as affordable housing.
